Starting this Sunday, June 2, the 8:50 AM Church School class in the library will begin viewing and discussing a series of 24 lectures on aspects of The Old Testament given by Amy-Jill Levine, Ph.D. Dr. Levine is Professor of New Testament Studies at the University of Vanderbilt Divinity School. A widely sought-after speaker, Dr. Levine has given lectures and workshops throughout the U.S. and Canada for universities, biblical associations, synagogues, temples, churches, and interfaith and civic groups. She and her husband, who also teaches religion at Vanderbilt, live in Nashville with their 2 children.

A preview of her lectures reveals an exciting and engaging personality who brings new insights about both The Old and New Testaments. All are welcome; however, this course is suitable for high school and older folk.
