The Saint Peter’s Artists Collective (SPARC) is excited to add Sheila Parsons to its growing list of gifted art teachers scheduling art classes. Starting on June 12th, Sheila will teach a class in the basics of design in art. She will be working with watercolors, but her students may choose to use oils, pastel, or colored pencils as well. Whether you are a beginner artist or one with experience, a teenager or an adult, you will enjoy this class. Each class will consist of short lessons, teacher demonstrations, critiques, and lots of painting time. This is not a “paint along with” class; each student will be selecting their own subject matter and providing their own supplies.

Sheila Parsons has taught classes throughout the United States, as well as over 15 foreign countries. She is well-known for her artwork, art classes, and volunteer work with many non-profit organizations in the Conway area. She is a lifelong friend of Saint Peter’s, having participated in Art Pray Love. She has also been featured in “Art in the Lobby” and the Parish Hall. Her favorite saying is “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”

Classes will be held in the Parish Hall from 10 am to 3:30 pm starting on June 12th and ending on August 7th (with no class on the week of July 4th). The cost is $30 per week (8 classes). This is the summer to learn, laugh and lunch with Sheila! For more information, contact Marilyn Rishkofski at marilyn@artexperienceinc.com.
